Every session will include LOTS of Cambridge and Yorkshire. These are often the first methods that people learn in their Surprise Major journey, so this is the opportunity to ring them!
Each session will also include a Focus Method. As a district, we should be ambitious in what we ring, and this gives everyone a chance to learn and ring something a bit different.
Occasionally you may hear the term, “Group b methods”. These refer to 2nd place methods with a Cambridge lead end order (2 → 6 → 7 → 3 → 4 → 8 → 5). Specifically, you should look at Yorkshire, Cambridge, Superlative, Lincolnshire, and Pudsey. Take a look at them, as these make up five of the Standard Eight Surprise Major Methods, all with a vaguely Cambridge-y whiff!
Everyone! The more wanting to come along to practice or perfect their Surprise Major the better.
Some preparation and learning of the methods you would like to ring will be necessary - we might be good, but we can’t teach you Cambridge in an hour and a half.
